Do you remember I said I was going to do some DIY-projects in my new year’s blogging resolutions? Well, obviously I’m no DIY-expert, but I do have some cool ideas to show you. Today we’re going to create a clothes hanger clip photo hanging system. Find the instructions to create this item after the jump!

Here’s what you’ll need: A clothes hanger, I prefer a simple and thin metal one, but you can basically use any clothes hanger. Clips to hang the photo on. Make sure they’ll fit around the clothes hanger of your choice. And of course photos! I’ve chose to laminate printed and magazine photos, but you can use basically any photo.

Step 1: Cut your images. I’ve chosen for different sizes and shapes, to create a playful effect, but you can choose whatever you like. If you want the photos laminated like I have, the easiest way is to use a machine, but you can also buy one-use laminating sheets at any hobby shop.

Step 2: Hang the clips around your clothes hanger. Since I’ve chosen for a very thin metal clothing hanger, basically any clip will fit, but if you’re using a thicker clothing hanger you’ll probably need to use some bigger clips. I’ve used bigger clips for bigger photos and smaller clips for smaller photos, just because I think that looks best.

Step 3: Clip your photos! Like I said, I’ve used bigger clips for the bigger photos and the other way around. There’s only one important thing to keep in mind while clipping your photos, which is to keep your clothes hanger balanced!
