What about yves?

After seeing this T-shirt a few months ago I was immediately sold. When Hedi Slimane started working for Yves Saint Laurent and changed it into Saint Laurent Paris – and by this basically changed the entire fashion house – I wasn’t that happy, to say the least.

My sister bought this T-shirt online more than a month ago as one of my birthday presents, but it took until yesterday to arrive at my home. However, I must say: it was worth the wait! This T-shirt sure represents a strong statement and is made of such a fine quality. Thank you my lovely sister!

6 Ways to wear: electric blue

Ever since seeing this bold color in both menswear and womenswear, I’ve been looking for a touch of electric blue myself. However I probably would never take this trend as far as others may, I’d definitely love to add a subtle detail of this color to my wardrobe.

Unknown

This blazer belongs to a very cheap black suit of which the label is unknown. I found this suit in the back of my closet yesterday, and decided to wear the black blazer in a casual combination. Never thought I would wear this blazer again, but I pretty much like it. What do you think?

Unknown old blazer; Acne sweater, bag and jeans; Yves Saint Laurent bracelet and shoes; Michael Kors watch; afterDRK bracelet.

Marc O'Polo store opening

Yesterday I went to the Marc O’Polo store opening in Groningen, a Dutch city I live nearby. It’s not that often that I visit any events that are not hosted in Amsterdam, so it was great to have some fun closer to home sometimes.

The Marc O’Polo store is absolutely beautiful and amazingly decorated. The store is not that big, but has definitely a great selection of clothing for women and men. Personally, I don’t feel connected to all of their items, but I’ve sure seen some perfect basic items – especially loved their jackets – at the menswear department.

Amsterdam hotspot: Hutspot

Last week I checked out a part of Amsterdam that I for some reason don’t seem to visit very often. I stumbled upon this amazing store called Hutspot. I’ve heard a lot about this store before, but this was the first time I was paying a visit.

Hutspot is not just like any store. Apart from selling amazing clothing, accessories, gadgets and other stuff, they have a great art gallery and a nice and relaxing cafe. Would you like to pay a visit yourself? Check out their contact details below.

My family members sure know what I like. This ‘Bookstand Rietveld’ is definitely a perfect belated birthday gift. This bookstand was exclusively designed by Tieme Rietveld for Mendo, one of my favorite bookstores in Amsterdam.
